Community High Standards
Lakengren, founded in 1969, is governed by the Lakengren
Property Owners Association, Inc. The association assures
that the high standards for the community, in terms of maintenance
and aesthetic
beauty,
are strictly maintained.
Examples of minimum standards, outlined
in their community covenant, are:
- No residence can have less than 900 sq. ft. of living space
on the ground floor,
or first
floor,
exclusive
of porch
area.
- No porch or projection of any building shall extend nearer
than forty (40) feet to any road right of ways, nor nearer
than ten (10) feet to the property line of any abutting property
owner, nor within fifty (50) feet from the normal water line
of any lake located on Lakengren Subdivision.
Local activities abound
Lakengren is an active community, with lots of activities for any age or interest. Some examples are:
- THE LAKENGREN GARDEN CLUB
- Meets the 3rd Tues. of the Month
(except December, January & February) at 7:00 p.m.
at
Valhalla Lodge. Open to all Lakengren Property Owners.
- LAKENGREN BASS FISHING CLUB
- Meets the first Saturday of the month at the lodge
from January thru March and is
open to all property
owners.
- From April thru November, club tournaments are
held on the main lake on the first Saturday of the
month. There
are eight club tournaments a year.
